Hi I'm Katie
I set up Unique Your Wedding as I believe a couples wedding should be totally individual- a true reflexion of your story and your personalities.
Helping you to create your unique wedding day is such a pleasure for me!
I'm very passionate, self motivated, creative person who loves doing things that are a little bit different.

I love anything that's natural, so this is always the starting point for inspiration within my work. I have high standards and I'm extremely hard working. My work has a modern and contemporary edge, but it's always unique to each and every wedding.
​
Working with people and getting to know the couple is one of the best parts of my job.
Consultations with you will either be at my home (where I work from), or at your venue, or both! Followed up by numerous email/phone calls to ensure we capture every last detail.

My background is very varied but has always been creative; dance college, fine art studies, BA Hons Degree in Fashion Studies, and more recently, an Area VM Manager in fashion/homeware retail.

I love interior design, garden design/landscaping, DIY, gardening, drawing/painting. cooking, healthy eating, dogs walking (dog walks and walks to the pub!), keeping fit, and I'm a huge lover of the outdoors.
My dog Neli is a gorgeous rescue pup. She's such a sweetheart and follows me everywhere. A great companion and work approver! I now also have a second companion, my beautiful daughter Bella who was born in September 2019 on mine and my husbands wedding anniversary!

My love for Floral design comes from my 3 grandparents, who all loved flowers. My Grandad especially, as he owned a nursery and bred roses. But my Nana and Grandad both used to enter floristry competitions, and I always have memories of helping Grandad in the greenhouse, or Nana creating a floral arrangement for church. Unfortunately neither of them are still with us to see me following in their floral footsteps as it was a career change later in my life, but it's the best decision I ever made going it alone and starting my business!
I'm a qualified florist achieving distinction in all areas of the BTEC Floristry level 3 diploma I studied for at Brooksby Melton Mowbray College.
Floral design has really taken off for me at the moment, followed closely by styling. I have also had experience in Planning and Coordinating events and weddings, so if you are finding the process too time consuming, stressful and taking up a lot of energy then I might be able to help! Floral designs are created through your ideas, up-coming trends (whether that's colour or style), inspirational images, and seasonal produce. I have good links with several local flower growers who grow gorgeous plants along side Flowers of the Farm, which is a nationwide network of smallholders, gardeners, and cut flower growers. This means that most of your wedding blooms will contain some home grown produce, and with it being seasonal, prices are also more reasonable.
However we achieve your look though, your florals will look beautifully bespoke and unique to you, your venue, and your budget.
I've worked all over the country including London, Cardiff, Glasgow, Belfast, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, the East Midlands, East Anglia and Essex, and the North West. I've predominantly done weddings in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire to date, however after relocating to Cheshire East, I'm now taking wedding bookings for Cheshire, Manchester, Shropshire, the West Midlands, and Staffordshire too.
I'm a very dedicated and passionate person and the feedback which I receive regularly confirms this. I work incredibly hard for you, and go out of my way for you on one of the best days of your life. Every client is a new challenge for me, and I put a lot of time and effort creating your bespoke design and unique day. I do not regurgitate the same ideas again and again. I do not have package deals that you will see repeated again and again. You are guaranteed individuality if you choose me. I take time to listen to your requirements and will bring these ideas into my creativity and designer style. I think it's so important to connect with the people who are helping you create your wedding day.

As an extra service I can also offer you a treasured keepsake. Painting your wedding bouquet is such a beautiful way of capturing your beautiful blooms.
I can work in various styles to best suit the atmosphere and theme from day. My commission art service is done on an individual basis and booked by emailing me with a photo of your bouquet.
My bespoke styling service will be tailored to your needs so that we truly create a "one off" theme that is unique to you for your big day. Styling a wedding is one of my most favourite things to do, especially if I've also designed your flowers for your day too. It's just the icing on the cake for me!!
I have a few items to hire, but I prefer to source items especially to suit your individual day so that it's really unique and special to you.
Bespoke doesn't have to mean expensive though! I'm a huge bargain hunter myself, and I love to create and build pieces from a design idea.

Clients often ask me to style their venue as well as design their flowers as the two go hand in hand! And as much as you want to set up the venue yourselves, time constraints from the venue and the reality of you getting ready get in the way! I would always recommend that you use a stylist for your venue so that the full day cohesively gels together well, and so that you can spend quality time with friends and family, enjoying your special day from start to finish.
