The Meakin's Wedding day was such a joy to be involved in, and Beaulieu Photography did a stunning job of capturing their most special moments.

Anna and Karl knew exactly how they wanted their wedding day to be, and there were so many unique and thoughtful elements which perfectly suited them as a couple.

I was lucky enough to help create the couples floral elements to their wedding day. Unique Your Wedding designed and created the Bride and Bridesmaids bouquets, the button holes/corsage's, as well as dressing and styling the church and the reception venue at the stunning Swancar Farm.

Anna was so open minded to different ideas which I loved, and we often emailed across the same photo ideas!! We knew that certain elements such as giant succulents, thistles and eucalyptus were a must, and having this clarity early on gave me good direction and enabled me to design floral arrangements to suit the couples individual style, their budget, and the 2 venues.

I especially love working with seasonal product, which Anna was also really keen on, and I wanted to create unique floral arrangements which would smell amazing in the church, so fresh lavender was also added in with the eucalyptus foliage. As I was setting up the church the evening before, the couple and their families kept commenting on how amazing the church smelled!

To be economical, I created a design which was flexible between the church and reception venues so nothing was wasted, and we stuck to budget.

The button holes and corsages where actually not fresh due to the Groom being very allergic to most flowers, but by using high quality faux succulents and foliage, and with beautiful styling, they tied in perfectly with the rest of the floral arrangements.

The eucalyptus and ruscus foliage used within the Oak hall at Swancar really added to the rustic whimsical feel. I draped greenery around the beams, fire place and candelabras, as well as adding extra to the table centre pieces which looked really fresh and vibrant in the natural light which beamed in through the large glass walls of the hall. The greenary also popped well against the brick feature wall and looked stunning wrapped around a large branch on the top table, trailing down towards the beautiful stone flooring.

Anna had arranged tree trunk blocks for the round tables which I added the succulent floral arrangement wreaths to once their church ceremony had ended. These fragrant wreaths worked wonderfully being hung over the ends of the church pews, but really came to life once dressed on the reception tables with additional moss, copper and vintage glass lanturns and candles.
